No. I only translate from German, French and Italian into my native language, which is British English.
On the whole, most professional translators only translate into their native language – while understanding of the source (original) language is important, the mark of a good translator is their writing skills in the target (final) language and how well they convey your message.
If you need translations from English into German, French or Italian, I’d be happy to recommend one of my trusted colleagues to you instead.
I love to travel, unlocking new countries and cultures, and there’s nothing better than helping other people to do the same through my translation and editing work.
I also have a creative mind, so I love the challenge of taking the essence of a hotel website, a tourist guide or a marketing text and communicating it in flawless English that draws the reader in and makes them curious to see what your product or establishment is all about.
With extensive first-hand experience of what the average English-speaking tourist is looking for when travelling, I can create advertising copy, blog posts, menus and more that will boost your hospitality business and take it to the next level.
I don’t state specific rates or include a price list here because every translation is different. The final price will depend on a number of factors, such as the length of the project, the word count, the subject matter and the complexity.
I generally charge for translation projects by the word, but I sometimes offer a day rate or a project rate. Proofreading and editing assignments are usually charged by the hour, again with the fee depending on the topic area, the length and the difficulty level.
Please get in touch for a personalised quote.
Once I’ve received your document(s), I’ll be able to give you a fixed deadline that will depend on the topic area, length and my availability.
I’m sometimes booked out a few weeks in advance, but if it’s urgent please don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
My hourly rate for language lessons/private tuition varies slightly depending on whether it’s online or in person, and on what you want to get out of our sessions.
